Kelly has a fun thing going on where her readers post photos of their homes. This week is Living Room week so I thought I would post a few photos of our living room. When I was 1/2 way finished painting this room, we decided that we will not be remodeling this place. We will move ONE MORE TIME:) into something a little bit bigger in a better Elementary school jurisdiction. Lets just say our school situation here isn't as good as it would be if we moved down the road a little bit... oh the things one thinks about when children arrive. Because we will not be remodeling/adding onto this house we are going to live with it as is for another year. There are so many things I'd love to "redo" in the living room (the whole house for that matter) but I'm controlling that desire and we'll let the next owners. For now I'm enjoying the wonderful change the color "silver sage" gave to our living room.
Here are a few things I love about the room:
- it's calming
- slipcovered sofa, comfy chair and ottoman (the covers go into the wash easily and come out clean, a must with kids...thanks Lee Industries!)
- original 1940's built-ins
- the room has lots of windows
