We had an amazing weekend with family at a resort. There were 8 adults and 6 children and we had enjoyed every minute. The kids loved the waterpark. The adults loved hanging out, eating terrific food and relaxing.
But my heart dropped when the news came through about the death of Whitney Houston. I grew up listening to Whitney. As a little girl, I thought she was absolutely beautiful. I remember so much of my childhood through her songs and when they were released.
My favorites include: Didn't We Almost Have it All, The Greatest Love of All, All at Once, I Believe in You and Me, One Moment in Time and I Will Always Love You. What a voice she had. It's just sad that her last album I loved was released in 1996. She was bogged down in the terrors of substance abuse since then. Poor woman. The abuse ruined her beautiful voice, her lovely skin, her behavior and her outlook on life. Even though she is gone, I feel so blessed to have access to all those amazing songs that bring back sweet memories of one of the finest singing voices of all time.

glad you had a wonderful weekend!
definitely so sad that the music world lost such an amazing icon...so young too...
