I have been a busy bee! A few months ago we decided to put all of our landscaping in ourselves (except for the sod and extra dirt). We saved thousands doing it this way and I love gardening so it was a no-brainer.
For the past 6 days, that is all I have been doing. Here is a recap.
(house with mud pit front yard)
(yard graded and black dirt filled in)
(sod arrives)
Planting and mulching finished. Whew! Now I just need you all to come over for a glass of lemonade on my porch (once I get some black rockers out there).
The garden has lots of boxwood, hydrangea, peony and David Austin roses. I stuck to a small list of different plants and planted a bunch of each to give the landscape a cohesive look.
As I was mulching today I couldn't help but thank God for creating all of these beautiful plants for us to enjoy. Their beauty is amazing and brings such peace and happiness.
I love it! Great job! How neat that you saved money doing it yourself! :) My neighbor just planted some beautiful icy drift (small white roses)..I had never heard of them but, now they are on my wish list! What color is your rose busy?

Gorgeous home! It looks a lot like the plan my husband and I are considering. Do you mind sharing your architect/plan name information? It's nice to see some real life photos. Thank you for sharing :) You did a great job picking everything out...what a daunting task!

Great Job! Looks really nice! It must have taken quite a bit of time to do all that. I love seeing landscaping projects come together. They usually turn out really nice. Thanks again.
